All the equipment and tools I use on a daily basis.
For home, I use Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview exclusively now. Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) has come a long way with WSL2.

Uses at home
Desk
- My computer is a Ryzen 5 Mini ITX build, my first time PC building a PC.
- Desk chair is a HÅG Capisco Puls
- I run two HP EliteDisplay’s E232 58,4 cm (23”) Monitors through a WAVLINK USB C Laptop Universal Docking Station.
- Keyboard is a Keychron Q1.
- Mouse, Logitech MX Master 3 (wheel goes brrrrrrrrrr)
- Microphone, a Shure MV7.
- Webcam, Elgato facecam.
- Speakers Harman Kardon Computer Speaker System - SOUNDSTICKS3AM-A
OS
I have been through many Linux distributions, currently I’m using a Windows Insiders build on the Dev Channel and another partition with regular release ring for when things don’t quite work on the Dev Channel.
Editor + Terminal
- Microsoft Visual Studio Code with Sarah Drasner’s awesome Night Owl 🦉 theme
- Terminal of choice is Windows Terminal Preview. Check out the video on making a custom config or read the post.
- Victor Mono font for both text editor and terminal.
Desktop Apps
- I use OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) for recording some coding sessions.
- Restream for live streams.
- For light video editing I use Shotcut and ReCut, longer videos DaVinci Resolve.
Uses at work
Desk
- My work computer is a ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (Acronym Edition) with Windows 10.
- As I’m fully remote I use the same desk set-up as my home desk.
