Hi, I’m Scott

I’m a UK-based product engineer and Svelte consultant. I build production AI systems, coding-agent infrastructure, MCP tools, SvelteKit products, and open-source developer tooling.

I work through OES Technology, where I help teams turn complex operational work into reliable products. That can mean building a new workflow, adding agent execution and evals, or putting scope, validation, observability, and human review around agent-assisted engineering.

I’m also building Svortie, a platform for running AI agents with scheduled workflows, MCP servers, and sandboxed environments. Previously I led 12 developers across two product teams building AI customer-service software in a large SvelteKit monorepo. Before web development, I spent more than a decade as a VBA analyst developer, building automation and business systems for large organisations.

I’ve worked with Svelte and SvelteKit for 5 years. I’m a Svelte Ambassador and co-founder of Svelte Society London, where I help run events and workshops. The speaking page has the talks, podcasts, workshops, recordings, and slides.

The bit I care about is making complex systems practical. I write about what worked, what failed, and what I would do differently, then turn the repeated problems into tools other people can use.

Sectors I have worked in

My earlier career covered finance, risk, asset management, property, energy, and the Lloyd’s insurance market. As a web developer, I’ve worked in government digital transformation, creative digital, content management, business process outsourcing, developer relations, and production AI products.

My interests

I’m all in on AI tooling right now, building MCP servers, Claude Code workflows, and seeing how far I can push multi-agent systems.

I’m obsessed with watching anything to do with mechanical engineering and restorations on YouTube. Also fallen down the mechanical keyboards rabbit hole!

Playing Borderlands 4 on the Steam Deck at the moment, but still think BL2 is the best one 😊
